Can matting affect a dog's health?

Yes, they can become depressed due to their inability to move freely as matting under the arms and hind legs resticts movement. It can also be a host to fleas & mites as its a warm area to live in. Also skin infections under the matts.

My dog has an ear infection?

Ear infections dont happen over night they have a 7 day incubation period. Dogs have an L shaped ear canal and it is quiet common due to moisture building up in their lower ear canal due to lack of ventilation in long ear breeds, but all breeds can suffer. Constant ear cleaning does not solve this condition. Please seek veterinarian advice.

My dog is scooting his bottom along could it be his Anal glands?

Most small breeds that are not obese can have their anal glands expressed with little hassle. Large, Over weight dogs or impacted anal glands will need to be seen by a veterinarian.

Worms-  Worming should be done every 3 months, puppies will need more regular treatments as they can die from infestation. You should get worming treatment from a vet as the ones in a supermarket or pet shop usally are not strong enough. And the same for fleas. If your dog has a flea infestation chances are that your pet is riddled with worms.

Why does my dog itch after grooming?
